Mobile home on fire in Applegarth caravan park in Seasalter, near Whitstable
14:06, 15 May 2014
Emergency services are tackling a blaze at a caravan park in Seasalter this afternoon.
Three fire engines, police and an ambulance were called to the fire at Applegarth Park in Seasalter Lane at 12.30pm.
So far no injuries have been reported and it is understood the owners of the caravan were out when the fire started.
Firefighters are using hose reel jets to battle flames and a pressure fan to remove smoke from the property.
The site, owned by Keat Farm Parks, contains a mixed number of single and twin homes with a large number of retired residents.
One man says he understands the owners had only moved into the home three weeks ago.
