Police appeal as Sittingbourne motorcyclist fights for life after Whitstable collision

An appeal is being made by police for witnesses to a road collision in Whitstable in which a motorcyclist was seriously injured.

On Friday evening of July 3, at 9.30pm, officers were called to the scene of the incident at St John’s Road.

According to police, a yellow Honda motorcycle which was being ridden in the direction of Chestfield had left the road and was in collision with a parked blue Peugeot 206.

The motorcyclist, a 22 year-old man from the Sittingbourne area was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the collision and would like to speak to any witnesses.

PC Jamie Woodhams said: "We understand there were other motorcycles in the area at the time and we would like to hear from anyone who has not yet spoken to police about the collision."
