Chestfield Road off A2990 Thanet Way roundabout shut northbound at railway bridge

An exit off the A2990 has been shut because of a collapsed drain gully.
There is a northbound closure near the railway bridge near Chestfield roundabout along the Thanet Way.
It will mean motorists heading to places such as Chestfield, Swalecliffe and Tankerton via the turn-off will be diverted.
The road was shut today and will remain closed until early next week due to the weather conditions.
Freezing temperatures and icy conditions have wreaked havoc on Kent's roads today - after a fresh weather warning was issued for the county.
Many areas had fresh snowfall overnight as the mercury dipped to -7C in some places, the lowest it has been for many years, making it difficult for drivers this morning.
