A mum-of-two has shared a lockdown-themed performance of an Adele hit.

Opera singer Kristin Finnigan, from Whitstable, posted her funny take of Hello on Facebook - which has been shared by hundreds of people.

It comes after the Marsh household, who live in Faversham, went viral after singing about things people had been complaining about amid the coronavirus pandemic to a Les Misérables song.

Ms Finnigan told KentOnline she was inspired to record her take on the song after going straight into lockdown after being in hospital for 10 days after giving birth.

Daughter Meredith was on February 28, a month premature.

"I could not wait to get out and show her to the world," the 39-year-old said.

"But we got home and then three days later we were in isolation and I thought, ‘no, this isn’t fair’, and I could either cry about it or I could do something a bit fun."

Her light-hearted rendition of the Adele song includes the lyrics: "Hello from my living room, hoping this will be over really soon.

"When I see someone coughing, I’m not going to scream.

"But inside I’m thinking, 'you’ve got Covid-19'."

She added: "It was just meant to be for friends and family - but people started asking if they could share it.

"I am actually a professional opera singer but I’m not someone who shares my music on Facebook.

"I sang it to my husband and I asked him, ‘is it cringe-worthy or is it funny?’. He said, ‘it’s funny’.

"It was shot in one take, with my son, Barnaby, running around in the background and my daughter, who was three weeks old, fast asleep the whole time I was singing.

"But as soon as I stopped, she started crying."
