Police have released footage of a suspect involved in an alleged unprovoked attack on board a bus.
Officers were called after a passenger travelling on a Stagecoach service in Whitstable reported being approached by a man as he sat with a friend.
The passenger said the suspect threatened him and then punched him in the face during the unprovoked assault.
Police say they are looking to trace the man and witnesses to the attack, which took place in the High Street at 6.15pm on Saturday, November 4.
The suspect got off the bus opposite St Alphege’s Church in the town centre, and is described as being white, 5ft 10ins tall in his 40s, of medium build with brown hair.
Sergeant Stuart Samson said: “This appears to have been an entirely unprovoked attack on a member of public who was simply minding his own businesses.
“Thankfully the victim didn’t suffer any serious injuries but we are asking anyone who may recognise the person in these images to call us.”
Witnesses or anyone with information can call the police on 01843 222289 and quote reference ZY/054202/17.
