Two elderly women had their purses stolen on the same day in Whitstable and Herne Bay.
Police have released images of two women they would like to speak to in connection with the thefts.
On Saturday, October 22, between 11.15am and 11.30am, a woman in her 80s realised her purse was missing while browsing in a shop in Mortimer Street, Herne Bay.
Later that day, a woman in her 70s reported her purse was missing from her handbag at about 12.19pm in a shop in Whitstable High Street.
Both the purses were found later, but cards and cash were missing.
Investigating officer PC Tom Blant said: "We would like to find the two women pictured in the stills as we believe they have information which might help out inquiries.
"In both reports, the victims were elderly and we want to remind people when they are out shopping to keep their purses safely stored away, keep a close eye on their bags and to be wary of who is around them."
Anyone with information about the incidents, or if they recognise the women, should call police on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/037994/16.
