A small number of pupils are isolating at home after positive coronavirus test for another primary school.
A letter sent home to parents from Joy Lane Primary, in Whitstable, reveals a "member of the school community" has got the virus.
As a result, a group of children who have been in close contact with the individual are now in quarantine.
The school does however remain open for everyone else.
The letter reads: "We know you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England.
"Please be assured that for most people, coronavirus will be a mild illness.
"The small number of children who have been in close contact with the individual who has tested positive have received a letter informing them that their child must stay at home for 14 days."
