Old Thanet Way is closed between Tesco in Whitstable and Chestfield after crash between road sweeper and car

A road sweeper van toppled onto its side after a crash with a car on the Old Thanet Way this afternoon.
Fire crews, police, paramedics and Kent Highways were called to the scene at around 12.10pm.
The road was closed between Milstrood Road and Hillside Road in Whitstable for almost three hours and drivers were told to use other routes.
Three people were taken to the QEQM Hospital in Margate, one a 50-year-old man with arm injuries.
There was also a fuel spillage and Kent Highways were drafted in to clear the road.
The road was reopened at 2.45pm
