This was the scene of devastation following a break-in at a coastal lookout station.
The door was left smashed, with glass strewn inside the property and equipment was stolen.
It happened at the National Coastwatch Institution's Whitstable Station.
The break-in at the converted beach hut at Marine Terrace is believed to have happened overnight and was believed to have first been reported by a dog walker this morning.
The thieves stole a tripod, monocular and also took six hand-held radios.
Three have since been recovered near Swalecliffe skate park.
A money spinner cash charity container was also removed and also found near the skate park.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police received a report that a hut in Whitstable had been burgled at 8.07am on Saturday, April 28.
"At present no suspects have been identified and enquiries are ongoing."
Further details are expected.
