Scouts are helping to spread Christmas cheer across Whitstable with their 35th annual Christmas Post - which launches today.

Youngsters at 6th Whitstable Scouts will distribute cards and greetings across the CT5 postcode area this Yuletide, for 20p per card.

Last year, the group delivered more than 10,000 cards across the area and raised about £2,000 for their club - including £400 that was donated to Herne Bay children's charity SNAAP.

They will then be sorted and grouped into rounds, that will be delivered by Explorer Scouts, Scouts, Leaders, Cubs, Beavers, parents and supporters from Saturday 15.
