A family is hoping to track down the owner of a wedding ring found on the seafront near Whitstable.
Sadie Cunningham had been walking along the sea wall at Seasalter on Sunday afternoon when her 16-year-old daughter Rosa stumbled across a gold wedding band by the ramp at Seasalter Sailing Club.
“We were just walking along when my daughter nearly stepped on it,” said Sadie, who lives near Sevenoaks. “It’s a gold band. It looks quite old to me.
“It was quite cold that day, so we don’t know if maybe the ring had fallen off someone’s finger.”
The ring is described as narrow and patterned, with an engraving that suggests it was given by a man to a woman.
Sadie and Rosa now hope to reunite the sentimental piece of jewellery with its owner.
Anyone with information about its owner is asked to email Sadie at sales@1stcoverall.co.uk.
