A seaside town is to be featured on TV this evening in the final episode of Channel 4's smash hit Catastrophe.

The BAFTA-winning sitcom - written by and starring Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney - centres around a couple who are thrown together after a transatlantic one-night-stand results in a pregnancy.

In July last year, the stars were spotted filming in Whitstable.

Film trailers occupied Marine Crescent in Tankerton, and the cast were seen at The Beacon House by Tankerton Slopes, and on The Street at low-tide.

Horgan and Delaney were also photographed filming near the Lobster Shack on the East Quay, dressed all in black and pushing a pram.

It appears in the photos that the eatery was renamed 'Archie's Lobster Shack', for filming purposes.

The blurb for tonight's episode says: "Sharon and Rob arrive in Boston for a family holiday only to receive some tragic news about Rob's mum, Mia."

Mia was played in previous series by Carrie Fisher, before the actress died in December 2016.

Tonight's episode is the sixth and final episode in the fourth season of the show, and airs on Channel 4 at 10pm.
