A town centre shop has been damaged by a "suspicious" fire.
An investigation has been launched by police into the blaze which was started in some cardboard outside the Whitstable High Street store near Gladstone Road.
Damage was caused to the outside of the building during the incident, which police believe happened between 7pm on Friday and 6.30am the morning after.
It is the second fire within weeks in the area after a major blaze broke out in a derelict building in Gladstone Road on September 4.
Anyone with information regarding the fire on Friday should call police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/168358/20, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or using the anonymous online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
