A teenager has been charged with a string of offences after a police chase ended in a crash on the Thanet Way.
Joseph Hernandez is accused of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, using a car without third party insurance and driving a car otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
The 18-year-old, of no fixed address, is also charged with handling stolen goods.
The dramatic high-speed chase involved more than a dozen police cars on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were pursuing a red BMW along the busy London-bound stretch when the smash happened between the Dargate services and Brenley Corner.
It followed a report of an incident in Nixon Avenue, Ramsgate.
A woman, thought to be a passenger in the BMW, suffered minor injuries.
Hernandez was remanded in custody and was set to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court via video link today.
