A two-car crash closed an A-road, sparking a large emergency response.
Police diverted drivers off the A2990 Old Thanet Way near Whitstable following the incident at the Foxgrove Road junction.
A Mercedes and VW were involved, with both cars suffering heavy front-end damage.
Police were called to the scene just before 4.30pm and were joined by a fire crew and two ambulances.
Officers say two people were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.
Motorists heading towards Herne Bay were told to use Foxgrove Road as a diversion, but the Whitstable-bound side remained open.
