Train delays after vehicle hits railway bridge near Chestfield and Swalecliffe station

Train services have been delayed after a vehicle hit a railway bridge.
Southeastern posted on Twitter about the incident shortly before 10.30am today, which happened near Chestfield and Swalecliffe station.
Engineers have been called to the scene to assess the damage.
It is likely to impact services between Faversham and Ramsgate.
A tweet by the firm said: "A vehicle has collided with a railway bridge near #ChestfieldSwalecliffe.
"Services in the area will be delayed while safety checks are carried out on the bridge, and response staff are en route now to carry out those checks."
An update shortly after 11am confirmed staff had carried out checks and the lines in both directions had been reopened.
