Woman taken to hospital after Whitstable hit-and-run

A woman was taken to hospital after a hit-and-run.
Police and paramedics were called to Belmont Road, Whitstable after a car collided with a pedestrian.
The woman was taken to a local hospital and the car involved was not at the scene when officers arrived following the incident shortly before 9am yesterday.
Police searched the area but the vehicle involved was not found.
It is understood the woman's injuries were not described as serious.
