Tankerton made the club’s first-ever youth final count when they beat Maidstone in their own backyard to win the Under-16 Kent Girls Cup.
Alice Summers gave Tankerton the lead against the run of play with an 18th-minute penalty after being bundled over in the box.
They pushed for a second at the Gallagher Stadium but were indebted to Aoife Yanik’s fine save from a Charlotte Watts free-kick to remain in front at the break.
Yanik saved the day again early in the second half, denying Frankie Stannard in a one-on-one.
Maidstone continued to look for an equaliser but were caught on the break on 50 minutes as striker Daisy Redford ran from deep to collect a long ball and fire home Tankerton’s second goal.
Tankerton finished on the back foot and conceded with five minutes left when Stannard’s pull-back was met by the unmarked Charlie Broughton.
Broughton almost levelled in the dying seconds but Tankerton held on for a 2-1 victory.
