Whitstable Town boss Jim Ward signs striker Ryan Golding from former club Sittingbourne
10:30, 05 June 2014
Whitstable Town joint-boss Jim Ward has landed his second striker in as many weeks with the signing of Ryan Golding from former club Sittingbourne.
Ward brought Ian Pulman back to the club from Ramsgate last week - his fourth spell at Belmont - having scored 72 goals in 139 games in his three previous stints.
He said: "They have scored 50 goals between them in the last two seasons, and if that continues at Whitstable next season it would be fantastic.
"They are two major signings, the first players we targeted and wanted to get, when we (brother and fellow joint-boss Danny) came to the club.
"It is sure to make people sit up and take notice, and know that we mean to give it a real go "
Golding's ex-Sittingbourne team-mate Ashley Ulph and Ramsgate trio, brothers Connor and Cameron Heffernan and Kane Rowland, have also joined the club.
The Wards are holding a Fans' Forum at Belmont on Monday night (8pm). Chairman Gary Johnson will also be there.
Meanwhile Whitstable have increased admission prices for the new season, the first rise since they won promotion from the Kent League in 2007.
