Whitstable Town boss Will Graham has confirmed three new signings ahead of the Ryman League, Division 1 South opening day trip to Walton & Hersham on Saturday.
Defenders Brandon Garner and Curtis Robinson have arrived from Dulwich Hamlet and Ramsgate respectively, while young striker Ira Jackson has won a place in a 20-man squad after impressing in pre-season with three goals in as many games.
Graham said: “We have been speaking to Curtis for a couple of weeks and all three signed on Tuesday night.
“Brandon and Ira have both done well in pre-season.”
Garner and Robinson are set to feature at full-back, the latter filling the gap left by the absence of the luckless Ashley Ulph, who is facing a season-long -off after suffering an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury in the warm-up game against Thamesmead.
Graham added: “The same injury led to my retirement as a player, it involves a long rehab so I don’t think we will see him back.
Robinson and Jackson both played under Halsey at Ramsgate, and he has also been instrumental in recruiting Kieron Campbell from Fisher, following a spell at as No.2 at the South East London club last season.
Looking ahead to his managerial bow in Surrey, Graham said: It is a tough place to go.
"I am confident in my own ability, and feel we are good enough to go for it this season."
