Jim Ward insists that he and brother Danny can't wait to get back to work as the new joint managers of Whitstable Town.
Out of work since they quit Sittingbourne last September, the Ward brothers were appointed to succeed Nicky Southall at The Belmont on Friday and a delighted Jim said: "I turned down three other jobs because I didn't want to go back in (to management) unless I felt comfortable, but after meeting (club chairman) Mr Johnson and the committee I had no hesitation in accepting their offer.
"Whitstable are a club I have admired for a long time. I've always liked the tidyness of the place, the committee have always been well organised, and it's always been a tough place to go and play.
"Having said that, they haven't really done a lot since Marc Seager left and so it's going to be a tough job but we are looking forward to it."
