Leisure centre bosses have scrapped off-peak memberships and will impose a price hike next month.
Ashford Leisure Trust, which runs the Stour Centre, says the changes will come into force from Monday, April 4.
The trust has written to existing off-peak members after it reviewed the type of memberships and time bands on offer.
Off-peak members can currently use the facilities at the Stour Centre for £29 per month before 4pm on weekdays, but they will be told to pay £39 per month after the change.
In a statement the trust’s marketing officer Carole Clay said: “We are launching a new front of house booking and cash collection system with a number of new functions.
“As part of this introduction we have reviewed a number of the services that we currently offer to improve accessibility to all and ensure consistency across the business.
“One of these changes has been to carry out a review of the wide range of memberships we currently offer and the time bandings for activities.
“As a result of this the off peak membership will no longer be available, and all those customers have been advised of this.
“We have offered a number of alternative memberships, some with reduced fees to meet the needs of customers affected by this change.
“We review prices and products regularly to ensure that the offer is relevant and viable within the current market and encourages accessibility for all.”
