Man assaulted after trying to break up fight in Ashford

A man has been assaulted after trying to break up a fight in the early hours.
A teenager has been arrested after the victim was left injured on a night out in Ashford.
The victim reportedly intervened in a fight that involved a group of people in Station Approach, near Ashford International station, at 2.45am on Saturday.
After trying to break it up, the man was assaulted by a member of the group, sustaining injuries to his face and head.
Police officers were called and a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault.
He has since been released under investigation and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
