Two men who were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing outside a pub have been released on bail until February 8 while officers make further inquiries.
A 47-year-old man was reportedly stabbed five times outside The Rose Inn in Kennington shortly before midnight on Friday last week.
Despite being covered in blood he was able to stagger back into the pub, where he was helped by customers and the pub licensees Dave and Sara Jones.
He received CPR and was stabilised before the ambulance arrived. Police set up a cordon in Faversham Road to investigate the incident.
On Saturday evening police arrested a 24-year-old man from Ashford on suspicion of attempted murder, he remains in police custody.
This morning officers arrested a 20-year-old man from the Ashford area, also on suspicion of attempted murder.
The victim remains in a critical condition in hospital in London.
