The officer intervened in an altercation at the fast food branch in Canterbury high street on Tuesday evening.
He sustained injuries from the attack and a second man was also assaulted.
Two men from Ashford have now been charged following the incident and will appear at court next month.
Luke Burden, 23, of Hillbrow Lane, was charged with assault of an emergency worker and being drunk and disorderly.
Lenny Russell, 19, of Morgan Close, faces charges of assault and being drunk and disorderly.
They have both been released on bail to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on May 19.
