Five acres of heathland at Dartford Heath between Old Bexley Lane and Heath Lane damaged by fire

Firefighters were called to Dartford heath this afternoon after almost five acres of heathland and undergrowth caught fire.
Crews were called to the blaze between Old Bexley Lane and Heath Lane at 4.10pm.
Two fire engines and a fogging unit were sent to the scene where they firefighters used two hose reel jets to tackle the flames.
They had the fire surrounded by 4.45pm and extinguished it ten minutes later.
The fire damage almost five acres of dense heathland and undergrowth.
