Gladiators star Matt Morsia has opened the doors to his new “dream house” on the Kent coast.

The former Folkestone PE teacher, who competes as Legend in the reboot of the hit TV show, oversaw the near-four-year construction of the huge mansion in Hythe.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, which has more than two million subscribers, he gives a tour of the eye-catching property, which he has moved into with his wife Sarah and their two young boys.

The 38-year-old introduces the clip by saying: “After 3.5 years of waiting, lots of stress and a huge amount of money, our new house is finished.”

The large property was designed by Matt himself, with seemingly no expense spared on the long-running project.

It features a large home cinema, a state-of-the-art kitchen and a fully equipped gym, where Matt can work on his 19-inch biceps.

It also boasts a cosy snug room, palatial hallway and temperature-controlled mirrors.

It’s a far cry from the home Matt and Sarah shared while he was a PE teacher at Folkestone Academy.

But his decision to quit his job seven years ago and focus full-time on his YouTube channel has paid dividends – and covered the cost of building his pricey new pad.

Back in 2020, Matt told KentOnline how he was earning more in a month than he did in a year as a teacher, thanks to revenue from his MattDoesFitness channel and contracts with Gymshark and MyProtein.

He has since built on that success, with 10,000 users on his Morsia fitness app – which costs £14.99 a month.

Now the UK’s number one fitness YouTuber, he has also sold almost a million cans of his own energy drink since launching it last year.

Sarah has long since quit her teaching job at Hythe Bay Primary School to help him with the channel full-time – and gained thousands of followers on her own Instagram account.

After finding fame on new media like YouTube, Matt is now being watched on TV by millions of households across the country on Gladiators.

He is already winning new fans with his tongue-in-cheek humour, describing himself as “a cross between Gandhi and David Hasselhoff”.
