A drug dealer caught while riding an electronic scooter in a town centre has been jailed.
Jamie Little was stopped in Maidstone High Street by police who suspected he was involved in pushing drugs in the County Town.
He was arrested, and a subsequent search of his home uncovered £1,700 in cash along with weighing scales and a knife.
Checks on one of the two phones seized showed it had been used to send bulk marketing texts to drug users in the area, offering cocaine and heroin for sale.
The 21-year-old, of Pudding Lane in Maidstone, was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and being concerned in the supply of heroin.
He later pleaded guilty and at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday he was sentenced to two years and six months in prison.
District commander for Maidstone, Ch Insp Gary Woodward, said: "Another criminal is starting a prison sentence following an investigation into a phone line being used to supply users in Maidstone.
"Our officers work relentlessly to identify and track down those who attempt to supply drugs within our communities.
"Dealers who seek to operate in the Maidstone area should be under no illusion that they can operate with impunity. We will gather the evidence needed to ensure you are caught and brought to justice."
