A young boy suffered a head injury after the car he was travelling in crashed into a parked van in Chatham last night.
Police were called to Princes Avenue, near its junction with Dargets Road, at about 10.10pm after a silver Honda Civic hit a white Volkswagen van.
Officers closed the road while they dealt with the crash scene and the male driver of the Honda, was also taken to Medway Maritime Hospital suffering from head injuries.
The young boy, thought to be about three, was taken to a hospital in London for treatment for his injuries, but a police spokesman said they were not thought to be life threatening.
He added: “The road was closed between Kenwood Avenue and Dargets Road and reopened by 6.20am on Saturday.”
