Kent Police investigate dog bite on schoolboy in School Avenue in Gillingham

Police are investigating after a schoolboy was bitten on his side by a dog.
Officers say they are looking into a report of a dog being dangerously out of control after the 11-year-old boy suffered a puncture wound during the attack.
The incident happened in School Avenue, Gillingham, at about 3.20pm on Thursday, June 19.
One person who lives in the street, but did not want to be named, said: "It attacked the little boy and drew blood."
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police is investigating a report of a dog dangerously out of control in a public place.
"It is reported that an 11-year-old boy was bitten on the side by a dog in School Avenue, Gillingham, sustaining a puncture wound.
"Officers are making enquiries to establish the circumstances around the incident and who owns the dog."
