A motorcyclist has been injured during a collision with a safety barrier on the M2 motorway bridge.
All lanes of the M2 are closed following the accident on the London-bound carriageway.
Traffic travelling coast-bound is reportedly being held before the Medway motorway bridge and the air ambulance has been called.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 1.04pm following a report that a motorcycle had been involved in a collision with a safety barrier on the London-bound carriageway of the M2 Medway Bridge.
"The air ambulance is in attendance and the road is currently closed."
A second accident has taken place on the entry slip road for the London-bound carriageway at junction 3, Chatham.
According to Highways England, delays can be expected until 5pm.
