An electrical fault that required emergency repairs caused disruption on one of the county's busiest train lines.
Train operator Southeastern this morning warned of cancellations, delays or revisions to services because of the issue at Sevenoaks.
The urgent repairs meant that trains which normally called at all stations between Charing Cross and Sevenoaks would not run between Orpington and Sevenoaks.
Replacement bus services were drafted in.
Trains which run on the Charing Cross line, but do not stop at Orpington, were still in operation.
Southeastern announced shortly after midday that the line had reopened and trains would stop at Chelsfield, Knockholt and Dunton Green.
