Man rescued from house fire in Nelson Avenue, Minster, Sheppey

A man has been rescued from a blaze which broke out in a house.
Emergency crews were called to Nelson Avenue in Minster, on the Isle of Sheppey, at 6.35am.
Teams in four fire engines arrived to find smoke coming through the windows.
Crews with breathing masks went inside with jets to tackle the burning.
They brought a man out and handed him over to paramedics.
No one else was inside and the cause is not known.
An ambulance service spokesman said: "I can confirm ambulance crews attended and one patient was treated before being taken to Medway Maritime Hospital."
