Trevor Brazier appears in court charged with murder of Kevin Tridgell in Northdown Road, Margate

A 48-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murder.
Trevor Brazier, of Northdown Road, Margate, was arrested at his home shortly before 6.30am on Saturday on suspicion of killing Kevin Tridgell.
Mr Tridgell, 38, was treated for serious injuries by paramedics, but died in hospital.
Brazier was charged with murder yesterday and appeared via video link at Medway Magistrates' Court this morning.
The case was transferred to Maidstone Crown Court, where Brazier will appear on Wednesday. He was remanded in custody.
Due to their previous contact at the address, police have referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, which will investigate the handling of the case.
