Ashford man arrested after distraction burglary in Margate

A man has been arrested after a pensioner was targeted in a distraction burglary.
Police are investigating after money was stolen from a property in Margate.
The victim, a man in his 80s, was visited by two men offering to repair the roof of his Waverley Road property.
After agreeing on the work and receiving payment for it, the two men then left.
The victim then noticed a quantity of cash had been stolen from his house.
Following enquiries into the incident on Friday November 12, officers arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of burglary on Monday November 15.
The suspect, from Ashford, was released on bail pending further investigation.
