Former Tonbridge winger Joe Turner is back in Kent football.
Turner, who left the Angels earlier this season after six years, has joined Ramsgate.
The Isthmian South East title contenders were interested in the 30-year-old when he departed Longmead.
He signed for Southern League side AFC Totton but, a few months down the line, Rams have their man.
Turner scored 67 goals and contributed 54 assists in 261 appearances for Tonbridge and is the only man to have won their player-of-the-year award three times.
“Joe was an excellent player for Tonbridge,” said Ramsgate manager Ben Smith.
“He’ll bring a lot of power and strength to our side, which is something we’ve lacked in the last few games.
“He’s someone that can score all types of goals and we kind of need that, otherwise we can be a bit one-dimensional.
“If we play 4-3-3, he can play wide or in a 10.
“If we’re playing 3-5-2, he’ll be up top with Joe Taylor.”
Ramsgate have also signed centre-back Alex Brefo after Chatham agreed to cancel his contract.
The move to Southwood reunites him with Craig Stone, the pair having played together at Hastings last season.
Smith said: “Alex gives us added power, pace and strength.
“In the last couple of games, the other team have gone up the other end out of the blue and scored.
“We’ve got to alleviate that and adding Alex’s power and pace to our side will help.”
Both new signings were named in the starting XI for Ramsgate’s home game against Broadbridge Heath on Saturday.
