Bosses of the Pure Fun Factory play centre in Tunbridge Wells have applied to the borough council for a licence that could see the building used as a nightclub opening until 4am.
Planning documents submitted to the council state the 'core business' would remain a children's play centre.
But they request permission for a change of use so the building could double as a nightclub or theatre space with a capacity of 650.
The application also suggests the venue could be used for:
- A 'pop up drinking establishment' for events like screenings of World Cup games
- A skating rink
- One-off events such as specialist food tasting or Mothers' Day promotions.
If the plans are approved, applicants High Brooms Entertainment Ltd say the current staff of six full-time and nine part-time employees will increase to 44.
The applicant envisages laying on a shuttle bus service from Tunbridge Wells town centre when the venue is operating as a nightclub.
The licence would enable it to open until 4am Thursday to Sunday.
Full details of the application are available on the council's website.
